Honestly, we could never have guessed that we would someday be owners of a bakery, but here we are! It all started with Nurten’s passion to feed those around her with good food, and the rest is history. :)

Nurten
Cofounder, Master Baker
Like all Balkan moms, Nurten loves to feed everyone. :) This is actually how it all began. After years of compliments from those around here, she finally decided to take things to the next level and so Balkan Style Bakery was born.
Arif
Cofounder, Chef de Cuisine
The backbone of the business, Arif manages the daily operations of the bakery, delivers our goods to multiple groceries across the GTA, and is also a talented Simit pastry chef. If you ask him, everything should be consumed with tea. :)

Boyoz
Boyoz is a traditional savory pastry hailing from the vibrant culinary landscape of Turkey, particularly popular in the city of Izmir. Simit

Borek
Börek, a cherished staple of Turkish cuisine, is a savory pastry renowned for its flaky layers and delectable fillings. Typically made with thin layers of phyllo dough, börek can be filled with a variety of ingredients such as cheese, spinach, minced meat, or potatoes, creating a delightful medley of flavors and textures.
